Hypothesis Now is a science news blog.
It exists to explore to less-well-reported science stories; all those little bits of knowledge that contribute to our understanding of the beautiful, complicated and bizarre world we live in. So many other news sites cover the really big science stories – climate change, hybrid embryos, dinosaurs(!) – that a little blog like this just couldn’t compete. Instead I can pick at the edges of science, nibbling away at the tasty morsels of discovery the bigger sites may miss.
Why Hypothesis Now?
Hypotheses are at the heart of the scientific process. Hypothesis Now also has a nice ring to it. Beyond that, there’s no real reason for the name, except that I like it.
Who am I?
My name’s Peter. My background is in zoology and UK science policy, and I’m interested in communicating science to as wide an audience as possible. The web is the perfect way to do so.
